I'm back.
ish.


I've been lurking like crazy, don't get me wrong, but I've not had the time, energy, net connection, or even the inclination to add anything in a looong time. Much of this is due to my current location in the world, which is just a hair's east of Sadr City. Go ahead, Google the place. Then realize that all of the *bad* stuff happened a while ago.

I've literally taken nearly a thousand photographs so far this deployment. I know that military photography is a niche genre, and it is one I'd like to get out of at some point, but my subjects are limited. So, as boring as it may be, my collection of photos is going to have to be all desert and woods and stuff for a while. I'm going to try to upload a few more files (got one up so far, wooo Hadji-net!) just to get something up, but the bulk will have to go up once I get back to a DSL enabled world.

I plan on continuing to take pictures of whatever catches my eye, whenever I have my cam handy, but with my current habit of leaving the damn thing in my Bradley's turret, I never have it handy when I see something cool. Go fig.

Anywho, here's to a boring deployment, a swift return, and beer!
